Great movie, loved the actors, powerful message, want to take a friend back with me to see it again. I'm going to buy the novel. Wish there were more movies like this in theaters!

I went to see this with my mom. She is 85. She was not sure what to expect, just that it had to do with baseball and recovery. I asked her if she liked it and she said that she really enjoyed it. It was nothing like she expected. She said it didn't push God on people and that it was a very good story. This was my second time seeing the movie. I had previewed it a month or so ago and I expected it to be pretty good, but it had exceeded my expectations. A very realistic view of life. The storyline is believable because it relates to everyone in one way or another. It is not heavy-handed and it is just a good story. I cried more this time I saw it because I know how it feels to be brought to a place that Cory finally found himself in. I also know the feeling of the hope and freedom that he began to experience. I would recommend this movie to everyone. This movie is guaranteed to move you emotionally in a very good way!

I couldn't find anything I didn't like about this movie. They did a great job casting and making it realistic as to the struggles and victories shared at Celebrate Recovery. I hope people know CR isn't just for people with addictions although, truth be known, we all struggle with addiction to something.

This movie was well done. It really paints a good picture of just how hard it is for people with addictions and compulsive behaviors to change. I love the line where Vivica Fox said " it is a 12 step program, just with Jesus! You know when Dr. Bob started the first AA groups they were Christ centered. It's so much easier to acknowledge your higher power as the one true God who has Sovereign Power over everything. I love the song" I lay it down", because it speaks to the fact that at some point you really do have to surrender and let God do his work in you which takes having a personal relationship with him as your Lord and Savior. He will remove our character defects for us we just have to be ready to let him. I'm blessed to be a women's Celebrate Recovery facilitator for a mixed addictions group in Vernon, TX. It's wonderful to see so many women changing their lives around as God begins to heal us and work through us to see what's holding us back.

Home Run was definitely a hit with me and gave me hope that I can be reasonably happy in this life and supremely happy in the life ever after!
